Moving Through Taboos
This album features Matt McMahon on Piano, Simon Barker on Drums and Brett Hirst on Double bass.
"There were lots of songs floating in the air at that time and they were crying out to be birthed. I try to write songs of the moment but for the future. The standout songs on this CD are 'We let Them Do It' and 'The Parting Glass'. The melodic arrangements by Matt McMahon give this CD a modern sound yet still the earthiness of folk." - Vince Jones

Live
"We'd been touring quite extensively and I felt it was time to make a live recording. I listened to the band playing live on my portable recorder and realised the quality of the musicianship was excellent. I was inspired by the superb guitar playing of James Muller coupled with the creative rhythm section of Simon Barker, Adam Armstrong and Sam Keevers. How fortunate I was to be singing with a swinging band at the Basement on a hot Sydney night and a room full of people. It had to be recorded." - Vince Jones

Here's To The Miracles
"Once in a while you get lauded by the critics. This recording was called a 'Masterpiece' by the jazz critic Adrian Jackson. A rare occasion when the sound engineer producer and musicians click into an empathetic groove. Again a mixture of original songs and standards portaying the years work and exposing the artistry of the musicians involved. The standout track is the Jones/Mcall song "A Tribute Two". Only time will tell if any work is truly a masterpiece." - Vince Jones

Future Girl
This is the first all original CD ever from the VJ catalogue. This is the Jones band at its most evolved. On this recording, Jones added the wonderful rhythm section of Andrew Gander and Lloyd Swanton. The featured soloists are Dale Barlow and Barney Mcall. The strengths of this album are not only in the playing, but in the compositions. The lyrics and melodies combine to make unique Australian music, songs which will be played and listened to for many years to come, an album written for the future.

One Day Spent
This CD was recorded in New York. The recording process was in three parts: one day to rehearse, one day to record and one day to mix. Hence the title "One Day Spent". The ambiguity of the title is realised in the beautiful ballads. The players on this recording were the best available of the young "New Breed" players on the NY jazz scene. Benny Green, Charnett Moffat, Carl Allen, Dale Barlow and myself put together an elegant performance of these jazz standards. This CD hit the US billboard charts reaching number 14, selling over 100,000 CDs.

Trustworthy Little Sweethearts
This is the seventh CD in the collection and the first production by Doug De Vries. A band which tours and performs as much as this one deserves to sound really good. The original songs have reached a new height. The Jones/De Vries composition "Trustworthy Little Sweethearts" is a standout. Another beautifully crafted album of songs by Vince and his band.

It All Ends Up In Tears
On this recording Vince and the band are joined by Paul Grabowsky, who produced and co-wrote some of the songs. Vince is showing his soul and folk roots more and more on this CD. The horn and string arrangements are exemplary, enriching the depth of the music. The standouts on this CD are "Rainbow Cake" and "Jettison". This CD won the ARIA award for the best jazz recording.

This recording is a wonderful mix of original songs and standards. Jones's voice is getting richer and more soulful. He is always understated in his choice of notes, preferring the evocative to the flashy. The standouts on this CD are "Sensual Item" and "All the Way".
